Æge Energy attended an important seminar on grid connection

Strong commitment to faster and more secure connection to the power grid

Eivind from Æge recently attended a seminar organised by SINTEF Energi and REN. The topic of the seminar was connection to the power grid, with particular focus on how grid companies, suppliers and research communities together can help provide customers with faster and more efficient access to electricity, better utilization of existing grids, as well as the regulatory change related to the publication of criteria for “operationally sound” connection.

Eivind had a presentation where he shared our experiences with the grid connection processes from the perspective of the client. He pointed out that today it is often difficult for customers to get answers to applications for grid connection, among other things due to long processes with many steps and an extensive bureaucracy. For our customers — whether in data centers or power generation — access to grid capacity, efficient and transparent processes are essential to realizing their plans. Therefore, it is important that the industry work together for solutions that ensure faster and safer connectivity.

There was a lot of interest around the suggestions that came up to improve the grid connection processes, and we felt that our presentation was well received among the other participants. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to participate in such professional meeting places, and support more collaboration between suppliers, customers, DSOs and research communities going forward.
