Æge Energy shared methodology and experiences at Møre trafo and Schneider's seminar

At this year's seminar organised by Møre Trafo AS and Schneider Electric on board Color Magic, Robert Fossmark Pedersen from Æge Energy held a presentation entitled “How to build grid faster with reduced risk”.

Faster grid development — without losing control

In his talk, Robert highlighted several of the main reasons why grid projects have long lead times: unpredictable deliveries, complex interfaces, lack of standardisation and wide variation in project execution.

He presented practical measures and methods that can be applied immediately:

  • Standardisation of technical solutions to reduce engineering time and shorten approval processes.
  • Modularised delivery packages that allow faster assembly and easier logistics runs.
  • Risk-based decision ports that provide better management and fewer costly changes late in the project.
  • Parallel processes to shorten the time from planning to implementation.
  • Coordinated contingency and material access, avoiding delays when critical components are needed.

The common denominator is a more predictable project model in which risk is managed on an ongoing basis - not after it has materialised.

Important learning for the industry

Roberts's message hit well at a time when the demands for increased electrification and shorter connection times are becoming increasingly clear. He points out that more robust planning, clearer interfaces and a greater degree of standardisation are necessary steps if the industry is to meet the pace expected.

Æge Energy is experiencing increasing demand for exactly this — practical working methods that combine quality, speed and risk reduction.

Varied and relevant seminar programme

Roberts' presentation was part of a professional seminar covering several topics relevant in the energy industry today. The program included, among other things:

  • “Veien til det grønne skiftet” by Lars Christian Danby Engø, Lade Consult
  • “Fra avfall til verdikjede - materialtilgang, risiko og beredskap” by Bjørn Arild Thon, Renas
  • “Nettstasjon - avstand til bygg og transformator med forhøyet beskyttelse” by Jørn Berntzen, Elvia
  • “Energi-infrastruktur fra et leverandørperspektiv” by Tormod Almås, Suniqon

Æge Energy — with a focus on simplification and progress

As a specialised environment, Æge Energy works closely with both our customers, suppliers and contractors to create more efficient, scalable and robust processes in grid development. Robert's presentation is part of the company's continuous effort to share insights and experiences that actually produce results out in the projects.
