Our sustainability goals
The world needs more renewable energy to reach climate targets and reduce dependence on oil- and gas-producing regimes. We actively contribute to the green transition and develop renewable energy on land and at sea together with our clients and on our own initiative.
Oil & gas, industry, mining, and transport account for more than 75% of Norway’s greenhouse gas emissions. For Norway to reach its climate targets, these sectors must be electrified. We support our clients through this transition and develop innovative products and solutions that contribute to the green shift.
We have a strong commitment to climate and nature. These values can sometimes be in tension, but we believe they can be balanced through knowledge and sound solutions. This is embedded in our daily work across all our business areas.
Through our global presence, we actively work to facilitate knowledge transfer across borders and between different sectors of society, and we are convinced that the best solutions are achieved through collaboration and engagement.
The green transition is well underway
Norway and the world will require vast amounts of renewable energy to achieve our climate goals and promote prosperity and security for all. At the same time, this must be done in a sustainable way. New value chains are emerging, and a robust and efficiently utilized power system will be the backbone in meeting these needs.
